About TEKVOX
TekVox, Inc. was formed
by Mike Slattery, November of 2002, in Everett,
Washington. Originally the company was founded to supply
control system software and audio/video system design
and setup. One of the main specialties of TekVox is
audio system design, programming and setup, thus the
name TekVox, which stands for Technical Voice
Communications.
While working on various university campus control systems,
it was apparent to Mike that a low cost campus-wide
equipment monitoring and security system was needed.
Although both AMXTM and CrestonTM
provide solutions for this need, they also require a
skilled programmer and installer to put together such a
system. It was also apparent that K-12 schools were
starting to install video projectors in their classrooms
and they too will require such a system.
Seeing there is a real need for asset management, equipment
and security monitoring, Mike started investigating what
it would take to develop such a product. While
researching various systems from PC based monitoring to
control system monitoring, Mike developed a system
that is easy to install, program and setup, which is now
called TekPatrolTM.
